Praying for Life

The annual Respect Life Mass, sponsored by the diocesan Department of Pastoral Care, Respect Life Ministry, was held March 14 in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Red Bank. Father Joe Noche, diocesan respect life chaplain, was principal celebrant of the Mass. Because weather conditions did not allow for the congregation to participate in the procession to an area Planned Parenthood facility where they would pray the Rosary for the intentions of all life and to remember those children who were lost to abortion, they instead offered their prayers and recited the Rosary after the Mass. Another highlight of the day was the presentation of awards to students who participated in the department's Poster, Essay and Video Contest.
