See the Beauty, Discover the Joy will serve as the theme of a Lenten mission to be presented Feb. 21-24 in St. Ann Parish, 22 Trenton Rd., Browns Mills.

Featuring author Patty Schneier, the retreat will include gathering for Mass each morning at 9 a.m. and a presentation by Schneier each evening at 7:30 p.m. in the church. Topics for each evening are: Feb. 21, “’Prove It God!’…And He Did”; Feb. 22, “God, I Really Don’t Have Time for This!”; Feb. 23, “Unlock The Treasure”; Feb. 24, “One Step Away.”

Promotional homilies on the retreat will be preached at all Masses Feb. 20-21. The Mass times are 5:15 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m.,10:30 a.m. and noon on Sunday.

Schneier is a life-long Catholic, housewife, and mother of three from the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Using song, scripture, and writings from her journal, she shares the story of her challenge to God and his daily response. Her conversion marked the beginning of a totally new life in Christ, a renewed marriage and a ministry in public speaking.

Through her talks Schneier gives witness to the beauty of the Church’s teachings and her love of the Catholic faith. She has been a guest on various Catholic Radio shows, including Covenant Network, Ave Maria Radio, and Catholic Answers Live. From 2007-2008, she hosted the radio show, Ask the Archbishop, heard on Covenant Network with then-Archbishop Raymond Burke. Her story has been featured in Family Foundations Magazine and is included in the book Set Free To Love: Lives Changed by the Theology of the Body. Her presentations on a variety of Catholic topics are available through Lighthouse Catholic Media, One More Soul, and St. Joseph Radio.

Schneier’s newest book, Love Letters from Mom on What Matters Most, is a compilation of personal letters written to her three children as they mature into adulthood and venture out on their own. It is a book to inspire and encourage all mothers and their children – no matter what their age – to live for Christ, to strive for holiness and desire heaven.
