Patricia Ann Keelen, mother of Father Keelen

Father Kevin Keelen, pastor of St. Barnabas Parish, Bayville, was principal celebrant of a Mass of Christian Burial for his mother, Patricia Ann Keelen, 77, who died March 8 in Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.

The funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Catharine Church, Holmdel.

Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Keelen was a 1950 graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School. She resided in Keansburg, Middletown, and most recently in Sea Bright, and was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Rumson.

Before she retired, she was the owner and operator of Pat Keelen’s Shamrock Stage Coach in North Middletown.

Mrs. Keelen was predeceased by her parents, James Magner and Marie Sweeney Magner; her husband, Patrick E. Keelen; a daughter, Kelly Ann Keelen; a granddaughter, Jessica Ann Keelen, and a grandson, James Patrick Keelen.

In addition to Father Keelen, Mrs. Keelen is survived by two other sons, Patrick C. (Anita) Keelen of Middletown, and James C. Keelen of Blossom, Va.; a daughter, Colleen (Jack) O’Keefe of Lincroft; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three siblings, and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

Burial was in St. Gabriel Cemetery, Marlboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Jimmy Keelen Scholarship Fund, St. Barnabas Parish, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville, N.J. 08721.
