A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 15 in St. Peter Church, Merchantville, for Patricia A. McHugh who died Aug. 12 at age 80. She was the wife of Deacon Joseph P. McHugh, a deacon ordained for the Diocese of Trenton.
Mrs. McHugh was an aspiring poet and writer; a bereavement counselor with Givnish Funeral Home in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and the founding editor of All Around Pennsauken newspaper.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, Mrs. McHugh is survived by four children, Kathleen McHugh, Maureen McHugh, Eileen (Bill) Weaver, and Thomas (Melissa) McHugh; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Moorestown.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Peter Church, 43 West Maple Ave., Merchantville, N.J. 08109.
