Parish to share joy at Christmas Day dinner

St. Mary of the Pines Church, Manahawkin, a worship site of St. Mary Parish, Barnegat, will hold its third annual Christmas Day Dinner Dec. 25 from noon to 3 p.m. in the parish center at 100 Bishop Lane.
With the blessing of Msgr. Kenard Tuzeneu, pastor of St. Mary Parish, volunteers from the parish as well as Ken’s Kitchen, a parish program that provides lunch every Thursday, will assist with cooking hot food and serving the dinner. Volunteers also will help with providing transportation to and from the event. New and used coats, hats and scarves that have been donated are available to take home for those in need.
Santa will pay a visit and handout gifts to the children. Goody bags prepared by the volunteers are given out as gifts for everyone to take home.
