“An attitude of gratitude” can sound like a cliché. But developing a thankful heart can have the most unfathomable power to completely change your life.

Using a multi-media and interactive presentation, Mercy Sister Mary Jo Kearns will offer reflections on the topic of Gratitude: A Powerful Way to Transform Your Life Nov. 19 from 7- 9 p.m. in St. James Church, 115 E. Delaware Ave., Pennington.

Sister Mary Jo received a master of arts degree in religious studies from Providence College, Rhode Island. After teaching elementary school for eight years, she, along with three other Sisters of Mercy, established Mount St. Mary House of Prayer on the grounds of Mount St. Mary Academy, Watchung.  A co-director of the House of Prayer, Sister Mary Jo is certified in spiritual direction, retreat direction, and pastoral bereavement counseling. She often gives presentations on inspiring topics such as gratitude, the Camino de Santiago, Martha and Mary, outrageous hope, and many others.
