'One in Faith' presentation

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

St. Ann Parish, Lawrenceville, will host a presentation on “One in Faith, the Joy of the Gospel for the Life of the World” Feb. 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the church, 1253 Lawrenceville Rd.

Presenter will be Sister of St. Joseph Carol Zinn, president of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious and a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph Philadelphia Leadership team.

In her talk, Sister Carol will explore the role of the laity, including religious, in light of the mission and charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph.

Prior to her election to congregation leadership, she served as the representative for the Congregations of St. Joseph, a Non-Governmental Organization in general consultative status with the economic and social councils of the United Nations.

“I look forward to serving LCWR as we continue to discern the signs of the times, remain faithful to the Gospel message of Jesus and the dreams of our founders and foundresses while responding to the needs of the people of God in our day, for the life of the world,” said Sister Carol. “May blessings abound as we continue this journey with deep love and joy-filled hope.”

Sister of St. Joseph Anne Myers, congregational president, said she believes Sister Carol is an “ideal person to lead LCWR at this time.”

“Sister Carol’s calm, articulate presence, love for religious life and the Church, and her global perspective are invaluable gifts that she brings to the LCWR presidency,” said Sister Anne. “She cherishes our congregation’s charism of unity and approaches the important and complex work of LCWR with this significant attitude of mind and heart.”

For more information on the presentation, contact Christine Barranco, pastoral associate in St. Ann Parish, at 609-359-9977.
