Notre Dame High School’s National Honor Society raised $7,000 for Anchor House, a local organization that helps at-risk teens. They did this through their annual scavenger hunt, which serves as the society’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

“We are so very proud of all of our National Honor Society members and Notre Dame High School students who were so generous in donating their time and money to help troubled teenagers,” said NHS moderators Ms. Giampetro and Mr. Patton.

“We would especially like to thank our NHS officer s – Kat Noble, Victoria Monaco, Alyssa Schaber, Lauren Alizio, and Morgan Fink – who painstakingly coordinated and planned the scavenger hunt and were the moving force behind its success.”

On May 8, a check for $7,000 was presented to Cathy Shelly Drulis, a 1975 Notre Dame graduate and representative from Anchor House.

Teams won prizes for completing the scavenger hunt in the fastest time and for having the best costumes, and individual participants also won prizes for donating the most money.
