New Legion of Mary in Medford parish

A new Legion of Mary has been established in St. Mary of the Lakes Parish, Medford.
Meetings are Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Emmaus Center at 40 Jackson Rd.
The Legion of Mary is the largest lay apostolate of the Catholic Church. Established in 1921, it was sanctioned by the last six popes. Members in St. Mary of the Lakes perform Spiritual Works of Mercy around the parish such as visiting the homebound, teaching in religious education and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults process, promoting prayer and the Rosary, and being present to the poor and marginalized in the area.
