St. Mary Parish, Middletown, will present a retreat titled, “Baptized Priest, Prophet, King: Renewal of the Promises,” from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 17 and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 18 in the church.

“The goal of this retreat is to understand our identity living out our baptism in the power of the Holy Spirit,” said Father Jeffrey J. Kegley, St. Mary Parish pastor. “We were baptized priest, prophet and king, [and] these identities give us the ability to live as disciples in Christ’s name. This retreat will unpack these three baptismal identities and pray for a fuller release of the Holy Spirit received in baptism.”

Lorrie Tomlinson, parish communications coordinator, said all are welcome – “both those who live their faith strongly and those who need another invitation.

“There will be speakers, sharing groups, music and witness talks, all on the subject of priest, prophet and king,” she said.

Speakers at the retreat will include Father Kegley; Father Richard Osborn, parochial vicar, and Craig Palmer, principal of St. Mary School, Middletown. The retreat was written by Life Teen International, a parish-based youth ministry, and is intended for adults.

Suggested donation for the retreat is $25. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided on Saturday. To register, contact Tomlinson in the parish office at 732-671-0071, ext. 242, or email [email protected].  St. Mary Parish is located at 19 Cherry Tree Farm Road, Middletown.
