'Marriage in the Church' lecture in Colts Neck parish

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

St. Mary Parish, Colts Neck, will offer a lecture on “Marriage in the Church – A History,” by Michele McCue, a member of the parish staff, June 17 from 7:30-9 p.m. in the chapel. The session will examine how the Church has viewed marriage throughout the ages culminating with current Church teachings on marriage in light of the Second Vatican Council.

Notwithstanding some of the more controversial issues surrounding contemporary marriage, the lecture will focus on how the Sacrament remains a source of grace for those who are committed to its conventional nature.

To register for the lectures, participants are asked to use the Project CARE form in the parish office or visit the parish website at www.stmaryscoltsneck.org.
