Macfarlane Sr. to speak in Hightstown parish

Bud Macfarlane Sr., a widely recognized author and speaker on apparitions of Mary and Jesus, will share his knowledge of that subject at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Hightstown, May 10 at. 7 p.m.

The free program, jointly sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and the parish Altar Rosary Society, is being presented in honor of the Month of Mary.

The title of Macfarlane’s talk is “The Apparitions of Jesus and Mary in History and Today: Meaning and Message.”

Macfarlane is regarded in many circles as an expert on Marian apparitions and is much in demand as a speaker on the subject in parishes, conferences, radio shows and television appearances. He has written and traveled extensively throughout the United States for nearly 30 years to speak on this topic.

A New Jersey native, the Montclair born Macfarlane was educated in Catholic schools including Our Lady Queen of Peace High School, North Arlington and Seton Hall University, South Orange. He and his wife, Patricia are the parents of nine children, including Bud Jr., a well known author in his own right.
