St. Rose Parish, Belmar, will present The Living Last Supper based upon Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting.

The presentation, which is free to the public, will take place March 18 and 19 at 8 p.m. in the church located at 603 Seventh Ave.

The living dramatization The Last Supper is a recreation with 13 living characters comprised of professional actors as well as parishioners. What is considered the most dramatic moment of The Last Supper, the 12 Apostles speak their minds to themselves, to each other and to the Lord in the light of the words which they have just heard Jesus speak, “One of you will betray me.”

Featured performers include Joe Zedeny as Jesus Christ, Roger Freitas as James the Lesser, Brian Crean as Matthew, Kevin Gabel as Bartholomew, Ray Aufierio as James, John Stilling as Andrew, Joe Orlando as Thomas, Vince Fay as Judas, Jeff Anderson as Thaddeus, Rahsaan Fenn as Philip, Chris Morano as John, James Perri as Simon the Zealot, Alan Rible as Peter and Andrea Gomez as the serving girl.

Musical accompaniment will be provided by LisaMarie, Gregg Ryan and Msgr. Edward Arnister, pastor of St. Rose Parish. Dave McGrath serves as director and Father Walter Quiceno, parochial vicar of St. Rose Parish, is producer.
