Lillian Ann Taylor, 64, wife of Deacon Michael Taylor

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Dec. 1 in St. Joseph Church, Toms River, for Lillian Ann Taylor who died Nov. 27 at home at age 64. She was the wife of Deacon Michael Taylor, who ministers at St. Joseph Parish, Toms River.
Born in Germany, she came to the United States at age 9 aboard the SS Zachary Taylor. She then lived in Paterson and Beachwood prior to moving to Toms River eight years ago. Mrs. Taylor was employed as a legal secretary, first with Gertner Law Firm of Lakewood, then with Madnick, Milstein and Collazo law Office of Brick.
She had been an active volunteer with Care Givers of Toms River and the Rainbow Children’s bereavement group at St. Barnabas Parish, Bayville, where she was a former parishioner of St. Barnabas Parish before joining St. Joseph Parish. She served as an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion in both parishes.
In addition to her husband of 42 years, Mrs. Taylor is survived by five children, Marion (Scott) Rager, Michael Taylor, Jr., Christopher Taylor, Stephanie (Tim) Downing, and Adam Taylor, and six grandchildren.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
