The Notre Dame High School Performing Arts Department is proud to present Les Misérables. Performances are March 6, 7, 13, and 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Les Misérables, the operatic musical, follows the life of escaped convict Jean Valjean and his life long quest for redemption. After serving 19 years in prison, Jean Valjean encounters a merciful bishop who convinces him to break parole and turn his life around for the better. He builds up a successful reputation for himself and eventually becomes the respected mayor of a French town. While serving as mayor, Valjean meets a dying woman named Fantine and vows to care for her daughter, Cosette.

Despite, Valjean’s change of heart, cruel police inspector Javert relentlessly pursues Valjean due to his belief that a “man like him can never change.” Years later, the whole cast of characters finds themselves entangled in a student revolution in Paris. With love and family on the line, who will dare to stand at the barricade?

Lou Gibilisco (Newtown, PA) is the Artistic and Music Director. Debby Gibilisco (Newtown, PA) is the Choreographer and Costume Coordinator; David Chebra (Yardley, PA) is Technical Director and Scenic Designer; Kevin Potucek is the Lighting Designer and Danielle Constance is Props and Scenic Artist.

Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $8 for senior citizens (62+), students and children. To order tickets, visit www.ndnj.org and look for the Les Mis logo on the homepage.
