A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 29 in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, a worship site of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish, Hamilton, for Leonard A. Bauersachs who died March 24. He was 69.

Born in Orange, Mr. Bauersachs was a graduate of West Orange High School and Bloomfield Tech. He began his career as a tractor-trailer driver, working for Soefield Transport and Linden Motor freight. In 1987, he left trucking full-time to work with his wife, Ann, as the co-owner of The Cross and Shamrock, a religious article shop in Hamilton. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish and a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Council, Knights of Columbus, Hightstown.  He was also involved with the Sons and Daughters of Erin, the Hibernian Bagpipe Band and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Mr. Bauersachs is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ann (Carolan); his children and their spouses Erin (Joseph) Falk of Hopewell, and Timothy (Ana Eliza) of Hamilton; four grandchildren; a sister, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Burial was in Harbourton Cemetery, Hopewell. Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Pennsylvania Neurology Department by visiting inmemoryof-memorial.org.
