Las Posadas, which means “The Inns,” is a nine-day religious observance celebrated in Central America, Mexico and the United States between Dec. 16 and Dec. 24 during which time faithful will commemorate the journey that Joseph and Mary made from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of a safe refuge where Mary could give birth to the baby Jesus.
The Dec. 15 event at St. Gregory the Great will travel to the chapel, E-Center, school, parish center and church. At the end of the journey, participants will meet in the gathering space for the lighting of the Christmas tree, singing carols and refreshments.
