Deacon Vincent P. Ricciardi, Sr., holds the monstrance for Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament during a Divine Mercy Sunday celebration in Assumption Church, Wrightstown, April 15. Father  Joseph J. Farrell, pastor, celebrated Mass, assisted by several deacons from the diocese. During the Great Jubilee Year, 2000, on the occasion of the canonization of Sister Faustina Kowalska, to whom Jesus appeared as a revelation of his mercy, Pope John Paul II established Divine Mercy Sunday to be observed by the whole Church on the Second Sunday of Easter.
