July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

Catholic men of all ages from Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean Counties are invited to join together for a day of prayer and fellowship at the 14th annual Catholic Men for Jesus Christ Men’s Rally.

This year’s event, with the theme “Rise Up Men of God,” will be held March 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Mater Dei Prep School, 538 Church Street, New Monmouth. The event offers an excellent opportunity to hear inspirational speakers and interact with other men who are looking to grow in their love for Jesus and to live out their Catholic faith in their daily lives.

Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., will be the principal celebrant and homilist for a Mass during the rally.

The featured speakers for the day are Father Larry Richards, a noted speaker, preacher and retreat master, and Peter Herbeck of EWTN.

Father Richards, a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., was ordained to the priesthood in 1989 for the Diocese of Erie, Pa. He serves as pastor of St. Joseph Church-Bread of Life Community in Erie and is the spiritual director of the TEC (To Encounter Christ) Retreat Program for the Diocese of Erie.

He is also the founder and president of the Reason for Our Hope Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the Good News by educating others about Jesus Christ, and the host of “Changed Forever with Father Larry Richards,” a national program that airs on Relevant Radio.

Herbeck, an award-winning speaker, is director of missions for Renewal Ministries, where he oversees the work of lay mission teams who work to bring about a new evangelization. He also hosts the daily radio show “Fire on the Earth” and is cohost of “Crossing the Goal,” a popular show for men that airs weekly on EWTN. He is a frequent conference speaker and the author of several bookers about discipleship and life in the spirit.

A youth breakout will be offered for young men from eighth grade to college age. The cost is $25 per person in advance, $30 at the door and $10 for students. Coffee and lunch will be provided. Doors open at 8 a.m.

Registration is available online at www.catholicmenforjesuschrist.org.
