'How Big Is Your God' workshop planned in Point Pleasant Beach

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

From staff reports

St. Peter Parish, Point Pleasant Beach, will host a workshop entitled “How Big is Your God? Change Your Vision, Change Your Life,” March 20 at both 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the parish’s Kolbe Hall. The presenter is Carol Pisani, pastoral associate for lifelong faith formation in St. Peter Parish.

Most of us believe that we are children of God, created in His image and likeness. While it is true that God is beyond us, He is also closer to us than we are to ourselves, and we all desire to grow in relationship with Him. But other voices may have muffled the unconditional gift of his divine love: voices of fear, guilt, anxiety and unworthiness.

These may impact us in body, mind and spirit, and affect how we live in relationship with God and others. All are invited to this retreat to consider both their earliest and current images of God. Through prayer, guided imagery, healing and music, attendees will consider ways to deepen their relationship with God and one another, thereby inviting a change in their vision and their life.

Pisani has more than 30 years of experience in ministry on the parish, diocesan college, healthcare and mission integration levels. She is co-founder and co-director of Sacred Doorways, through which she and her husband Roger have presented numerous workshops and retreats in the areas of liturgy, catechesis, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and spirituality.

To register, send name, phone, email and which session you will attend to Carol Pisani at [email protected], or call 732-892-0049, ext. 303. Free will offerings are gratefully accepted. St. Peter Parish is located at 406 Forman Ave., Point Pleasant Beach.
