Honor Our Lady of Guadalupe during Dec. 2 pilgrimage through Trenton

All are welcome to participate in the second Diocesan Guadalupe Pilgrimage Dec. 2 in Trenton.

Faithful of the Diocese will follow the journey of  “Las Antorchas Guadalupanas” as they travel among worship sites, culminating with a Mass celebrated by Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral.

Pilgrims may choose to walk the entire 3.8-mile route or join the festivities at any of the procession sites listed below. All locations will have parking available, and shuttle buses will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. among the procession points and the Cathedral.
  • Immaculate Conception Church, 540 Chestnut Ave., Trenton  –  8:30 a.m. pilgrims gather, 9 a.m. procession begins
  • St. Anthony Church, 626 S. Olden Ave., Hamilton – livestreaming via Facebook will be available for those waiting here to join the procession
  • St. Joseph Church, 540 N. Olden Ave., Trenton – livestreaming available
  • St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, 151 N. Warren St., Trenton — pilgrims arrive with torches; celebration of noon Mass with Bishop O’Connell
After Mass, there will be traditional Hispanic music, dances, food and more in the lower level of the cathedral, as well as the parish gymnasium across the street.

For those who can’t participate in the pilgrimage, a livestream of the day will be available at  Facebook.com/CatolicosdeTrenton, the diocesan Spanish-language Facebook page, as well as shared broadly across its English-language accounts.
