Holy Innocents Parish, Neptune will host a one-hour concert of classical music March 11 at 3 p.m. Flutist Marjorie Koharski and guitarist Keith Calmes will perform works by Vivaldi, Schubert, Poulenc, Giulianai and Piazzolla, as well as premiering three new works by Calmes.

Marjorie Koharski, a flutist and piccoloist with the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra, is the founder and director of The Festive Flutes, a semi-professional flute choir which performs classical music and show tunes throughout New Jersey. Koharski, a former faculty member of the Monmouth Conservatory of Music, is a member of multiple flute associations and teaches at her Neptune studio.

Calmes has performed as a soloist at New York Public Library at Lincoln Center, Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Recital Hall and the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra.  The Juilliard-trained guitarist was presented with an Outstanding Educator Award by The College of New Jersey. He teaches guitar at Wall High School.

The concert will be held in Holy Innocents Church, 3455 W. Bangs Avenue, Neptune. A free-will offering will be accepted. For further information on the artists, see their websites at www.fluteandfriends.com and www.keithcalmes.com, or call 732-922-2273.
