Holmdel parish offers three-part evangelization, spiritual journey

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

Beginning in February, St. Benedict Parish, Holmdel, will embark on a spiritual journey promising to bring participants closer to Christ while better equipping parishes and parishioners as evangelists.

ChristLife is an evangelization process comprised of three courses: Discovering Christ, Following Christ and Sharing Christ.

St. Benedict Parish will offer the first installment, Discovering Christ, in a seven-week experience inviting faithful to explore the meaning of life and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Each session includes a meal, prayer, a video-based presentation on the Gospel and small group discussion. In addition, a Saturday retreat follows the fifth session.

Sessions are held on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., with the exception of the Saturday retreat:

Feb. 4 – What Is the Meaning of Life?
Feb. 11 – Why Does Jesus Matter?
Feb. 18 – What Does Jesus Want Us To Know?
Feb. 25 – Why Do I Need a Savior?
March 3 – Why Is the Resurrection Important for Us?
March 5 – Retreat Day: Who Is the Holy Spirit? and The Holy Spirit and You!
March 10 – New Life in the Spirit: Being a Catholic Disciple
March 17 – Believing and Belonging: Why We Need the Church

Childcare will be available for registered participants, and the parish is able to provide transportation for those who need it.

Space is limited, and those interested can register by emailing [email protected] by Jan. 6. For more on the program, visit www.christlife.org. Those with questions can contact Jean Fiorelli at [email protected].
