Holmdel parish hosts evangelization series

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

St. Benedict Parish, Holmdel, will host a seven-week program beginning Oct. 2, “Discovering Christ,” which invites people to explore the meaning of life and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Anyone and everyone, from the baptized in the pews to the unbaptized, is invited to hear the Good News and personally encounter Jesus Christ. “Discovering Christ” helps people enter into or renew a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, experience the love of God the Father, and be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live as God’s children.

The program consists of seven weekly sessions, each Tuesday from Oct. 2 through Nov. 13 from 12 noon - 2:15 p.m. or 6:30 – 9 p.m. at the church at 165 Bethany Road, and a Nov. 3 retreat day. The weekly sessions include four components: a meal, prayer time, a video teaching, and small group discussion.

Session topics will include what is the meaning of life; why does Jesus matter; what does He want us to know; why we need a savior; why the Resurrection is important; the retreat; new life in the Spirit, and our need for the Church.

To register, or for further information, email Jean Fiorelli at [email protected] with your name, contact information and whether you will attend the afternoon or evening sessions. To learn more about the program, see christlife.org.
