Hispanic Pentecost Celebration slated for May 19

The diocesan Office of Pastoral Life and Mission, Hispanic Ministry Initiatives, will sponsor a Pentecost celebration May 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Trenton Catholic Academy, Hamilton. The event is arranged by Deacon Benito Torres, Liaison for Hispanic Charismatic Catholic Renewal, and the CCR steering community to be an opportunity for prayer, reflection and celebration.

Guest speaker for the celebration is Martin Zavala from Monterrey, N.L. Mexico, who has lectured worldwide for over 30 years. Zavala has served as a seminary professor, founder of the Diocesan Institute of Theology of Ciudad Juarez, and founder of Missionaries of the Word of God. He is the author of 18 books on faith.

Highlights of the day include Mass at 9 a.m., talks by Zavala, Adoration and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 4 p.m.

Admission is $15 for adults ages 13 and up, and $10 for children 5 to 12 years old. Lunch is included. Children until five years of age must remain with their parents or guardians during the day.
