Hightstown parish to host Guadalupe image

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

The Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe will be present in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown, April 24.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with an outdoor procession with the statue, and presentation of roses. Also included will be time for veneration of the image, recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and bilingual recitation of the Rosary.

Donations will be collected to benefit Birthright of Freehold.

The Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe’s visit to St. Anthony of Padua Parish is sponsored by the parish’s Knights of Columbus council, Grupo Guadalupano and the Altar-Rosary Society. The statue is a four-foot-by-six-foot replica of the original miraculous image of Our Lady which she left on Blessed Juan Diego’s tilma. The image was blessed in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico and has journeyed on visits throughout the world.
