Hermine Theresa Hollendonner Kelty, wife of late Deacon Kelty

Funeral services were held Aug. 25 in the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington, for Hermine Theresa Hollendonner Kelty, who died Aug. 18 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., at age 92. She was the wife of the late Deacon William H. Kelty, who served in the Trenton Diocese and died in 1986.
Born in 1923 in Deutsch-Ehrensdorg, in Burgenland, Austria, Mrs. Kelty came to the United States in November, 1930, and lived in Trenton. She married Deacon Kelty in 1946 and together they had two daughters. In the 1950s, she received a certificate of proficiency in tailoring from the School of Industrial Arts in Trenton, which enabled her to develop her notable proficiency in sewing, and later, in her award-winning quilting. She worked for New Method Dry Cleaners in Trenton, then for the State of New Jersey Legislative Services. In 1961, she and her family moved to Pennington where she lived until 2012 at which time she moved to Wilkes-Barre.
In addition to her two daughters, Lynne (Barry) Ranieri, and Marilyn (Karl) Milcavage; she is survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Burial was in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Therese Residence, Attn: Marilyn Smith, 260 S. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, Pa. 18702.
