Helen B. Wisniewski Sowa, wife of late deacon

Msgr. Edward J. Arnister, pastor of Divine Mercy Parish, Trenton, was principal celebrant of a Mass of Christian Burial Nov. 21 in St. Stanislaus Church for Helen B. Wisniewski Sowa, who died Nov. 16 at age 95. She was the wife of the late Deacon Frank J. Sowa who died in 2008.

A lifelong resident of Trenton and Hamilton Square, Mrs. Sowa retired in 1975 after 25 years of service at the General Motors, Inland Fisher Guide plant in Ewing Township. She was a member of the St. Stanislaus Golden Agers and Altar-Rosary Society. She also served her parish as a volunteer, helping with Bingo and the carnivals.

In addition to her parents, Dominic and Frances Majewska Wisniewski and husband, Mrs. Sowa was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara H. Sowa, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald F. Sowa and Maria J. Sinibaldi of Hamilton Square; a brother, Leo Wisniewski of Mercerville; one sister-in-law, Rose Sledgeski and her husband, Bill of Aovca Pa., as well as several nieces and nephews.

Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Hamilton Township. Memorial donations may be made to Divine Mercy Parish, 201 Adeline St., Trenton, N.J. 08611.
