Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Prayer services, parades and Irish soda bread are popular ways to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

Over the past few weeks, there have been some 10 parades in towns throughout the four counties of the Diocese to commemorate the Feast of the patron saint of Ireland. Towns include Trenton, Belmar, Robbinsville, Hamilton, Mount Holly and Keyport.

St Patrick's Day is celebrated annually on March 17, the traditional religious feast day of St. Patrick and the day he is believed to have died in 460 A.D. The Irish have observed this religious holiday for thousands of years.
