July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

Donovan Catholic High School, Toms River, will host the third GriffinFest Party in the “Quad” (quadrangle) June 13 starting at 6 p.m.

The event is open to alumni and friends of the school.  Alumni from the classes of 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005 and 2010 will be recognized.

According to Madeline Kinloch, director of advancement and alumni relations, GriffinFest began as the celebration of the 50th anniversary of St. Joseph/Monsignor Donovan High School in the spring of 2013 as a way to inaugurate the newly renovated Quad. Students, parents and patrons sponsored the Griffin Pathways with engraved pavers, benches, tables and solar lamp posts which can still be purchased at any time.

Highlights of the 2015 GriffinFesat include a performance by Bally Haunis, a band created by school band director Harold Frazee and several alumni which will provide the music for the evening. A number of alumni who now own restaurants donated the food and beverages.

Fee is $25 per person and dress is casual. The event is for persons over age 21. To purchase tickets, contact Erin Lesperance at [email protected] or call 732-349-8801, ext. 2433 or Madeline Kinloch at [email protected] or call 732-349-8801, ext. 2435.
