Gennesaret weekend retreat planned

Applications are now being accepted for the Gennesaret weekend retreat for those with life-changing illness to be held in the Newark Archdiocesan Retreat Center, 499 Belgrove Dr., Kearny, beginning Oct. 16 at 1:30 p.m. and ending Oct. 18 after the 1:30 p.m. prayer service.

Gennesaret provides for the spiritual and physical needs of participants.  The weekend includes prayer times, celebration of Mass, Sacrament of reconciliation, talks by spiritual directors, quiet times and ample periods of rest.  Staff includes spiritual directors, a medical team and helpers to assist retreatants. 

There is no charge for retreatants to attend the weekend.
