GCU Chorale to host spring concert May 5

Georgian Court University’s Choral will hold a spring concert May 5 starting at 7 p.m. in the Dorothy Marron University Community Chapel on the Lakewood campus.

The selection will include a range of numbers from Haydn and Mozart to a “Fiddler on the Roof” medley and a 1980s hit from Toto. Songs that will be presented include “Ave Verum Corpus” by Mozart; “Dirait-On” by Morten Lauridsen (sung in French); “The Seal Lullaby” by Eric Whitacre (from a story by Rudyard Kipling); “Africa” (as recorded by Toto); arranged by Roger Emerson; “Gloria Patri” by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi (sung in Latin).

GCU Chorale singers are from the local and regional community and include men and women of all ages. The chorale is under the direction of Karen Mullhall.

Tickets, which can be purchased at the door, are $15 for general admission; $10 for seniors, and free for students and GCU community members with identification.
