A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 27 in St. Gregory the Great Church, Hamilton Square, for Deacon Allan Thomas Parr Sr., who died May 22 in Mandeville, La.

Born in Brooklyn, Deacon Parr was a longtime resident of Robbinsville and for the past three years had been residing in Mandeville. He was a commercial construction superintendent for 50 years. He was ordained a deacon 30 years ago on May 16, 1981 by Bishop John C. Reiss in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton.

Son of the late Neva (Bell) and Walter Henry Parr, Deacon Parr is survived by his wife of 56 years, Josephine Platania Parr; his three daughters, Debra Parr Bjorling, Susan Parr Brown and Cynthia Parr Pirozzi; his son, Dr. Allan Thomas Parr Jr.; a brother, Robert Parr, and 10 grandchildren.

Burial was in Princeton Memorial Park Mausoleum, Robbinsville.
