Free fall screening scheduled in St. Aloysius

St. Aloysius Parish Health Care Ministry, Jackson, will sponsor a free fall prevention and screenings program by Kessler Rehabilitation Center. The session will be held Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the old church.

Falls are among the leading causes of injury and death in the United States, particularly among older adults. Every year, one in three adults over age 65 falls and 30 percent sustain a moderate to severe injury, including contusions, fractures or head trauma, which often require costly medical intervention and/or hospitalization.
