Francis House to mark 40 years of ministry

Francis House of Prayer, Westampton, will celebrate its 40th anniversary June 14 with a Mass at 3 p.m. Celebrant will be Msgr. Richard D. LaVerghetta, pastor of St. Joan of Arc Parish, Marlton.

Sister of St. Joseph Marcy Springer is the director of this diocesan spiritual center, retreat house and house of prayer. Dedicated to the ongoing spiritual growth of the people of the Diocese, Francis House of Prayer fosters formation through retreats, spiritual direction and training for spiritual direction and programs that provide tools for the spiritual journey.

A full calendar of events provides opportunities for experiences of both silence and active learning throughout the year. There are summer retreats as well as various retreats and spirituality days designed for parish and school groups, caregivers, charismatic prayer groups, the divorced and separated, senior citizens, couples, deacon candidates and their wives, priests, religious and hospital staff members, among others.
