Father James Cammisa remembered as a bright light of faith

Father James N. Cammisa, a priest for 63 years who served in parishes throughout the dioceses of Trenton and Metuchen, was praised as a “light that did not dim” at his funeral Mass held Feb. 16 in Christ the King Parish-Holy Trinity Church, Long Branch. The long-time priest died Feb. 8, a day after his 99th birthday. Pictured are Father Sam A. Sirianni, diocesan director, Office of Worship, paying his last respects to Father Cammisa prior to the Mass which celebrated by Msgr. Thomas N. Gervasio, diocesan vicar general and moderator of the curia, and concelebrated by priests of the diocese.
