Evening of Recollection in Fair Haven

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

Father James Grogan, administrator of Nativity Parish, Fair Haven, will host an evening of recollection 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 27 in the parish chapel located in 180 Ridge Road.

Using the theme “Can You Drink the Cup?” the focus of the evening will be on the contemplation of the reality of the Eucharist in each participant’s life. Adapted from Father Henri Nouwen’s book, “Can You Drink This Cup,” Father Grogan will guide participants through Scripture reflections on the Eucharist and the challenge of the Eucharist as disciples of Jesus with prayer, discussion and hymns.

The program is open to anyone who wishes to attend but can be particularly helpful to extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, helping them to deeply connect their service with the reality of Jesus’ Cross and Resurrection.

Refreshments will follow the presentation. To reserve a seat, email [email protected] by Oct. 25.
