End of Life Issues-Death with Dignity talk scheduled for June 27

Visitation Parish, Brick, will host a talk on End of Life Issues–Death with Dignity sponsored by the Respect Life Ministry of the Diocese of Trenton June 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the auditorium beneath the church at 755 Mantoloking Road.
Guest speaker will be Father Michael Manning, pastor of Holy Cross Parish, Rumson, and a medical doctor who writes and lectures extensively in the area of bioethics and author of “Euthanasia and Physician-Assisted Suicide – Killing or Caring?” Father Manning will talk about end-of-life issues and the Catholic faith. This is of special interest at this time as the NJ Legislature considers the “New Jersey Death with Dignity Act” (A3328, S2259) which would permit physician-assisted suicide. Find out the dangers of PAS and the Catholic perspective on true compassion at the end of life.
