Diocese offers day of reflection for couples

The Diocese and St. Barnabas Parish, Bayville, are offering a new way for couples to grow in faith together.

On Jan. 18 St. Barnabas Parish will host Paraja Vive tu Fe – Couples Day of Reflection, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., an event organized by the diocesan Depart­ment of Youth, Marriage and Family Life. The day will include praise and worship, time for reflection and sharing groups, a holy hour, Mass and inspirational talks by Father Roberto Padilla, parochial vicar of S t. Barnabas Parish.  Married, engaged and dating couples are welcome.

Father Padilla will talk about Jesus y la Iglesia – Hombre y Mujer, or “Jesus and the Church – Man and Woman,” and Vida de Parejas, or different ex­amples of the life of couples.

There will also be time for reflection exercises between couples. Lunch will be provided by the Diocese. The day will close with a holy hour of Eucharistic Adoration followed by Mass celebrated by Father Padilla.
