Deacon White, formerly served in Marlton parish

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 17 in St. Michael Church, Snohomish, Wash., for Deacon Edward F. White who died May 13.
Born in West New York, N.J., he graduated from St. Joseph of the Palisades High School, West New York, then served in the military during the Korean War at Fort Knox, Ky. After the service he joined the United States Post Office, retiring in 1989. While preparing for retirement, he entered the permanent diaconate formation program in the Trenton Diocese and was ordained a deacon May 12, 1990 by Bishop John C. Reiss in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton. He served in St. Joan of Arc Parish, Marlton, until 1993 when he transferred to the Archdiocese of Seattle’s St. Michael Parish.
Deacon White is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dianne; four children Edward (Carolyn); Stephen (Margaret); James (Kimberly), and Margaret-Mary (William) Morgan, and nine grandchildren.
Burial was in GAR Cemetery, Snohomish.
