Deacon Louis C. Restivo, 86, served in Sacred Heart Parish

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 25 in Sacred Heart Church, Mount Holly, for Deacon Louis C. Restivo, who died Feb. 21 in Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly. He was 86.
Born and raised in New York, Deacon Restivo served in the U.S. Army. He and his wife, Margaret, lived in Palisades Park for more than 39 years before moving to Columbus.
He was ordained a deacon for the Archdiocese of Newark in 1991 and was assigned to St. Michael Parish, Palisades Park. When the Restivos moved to Columbus, they joined Sacred Heart Parish, and Deacon Restivo was incardinated into the Diocese of Trenton. In Sacred Heart, he was active in prison ministry and visiting the sick and hospitalized.
In addition to his wife, Deacon Restivo is survived by a daughter, Margaret (Peter) Imbomone; a granddaughter, Christina Imbomone; two nephews; one niece, and several cousins.
Burial was in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown.
