CWOZ to celebrate anniversary with retreat

Catholic Women of Zion Chapter 1 will mark its 28th anniversary with a retreat March 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in St. William the Abbot Parish, 274 Lakewood Allenwood Road, Howell.
The retreat will begin with Mass to be celebrated by Father Thomas Maher, pastor, at 9 a.m. in the church. Father Maher will also be the speaker at the retreat and his topic will be “Casting Nets: In What Way Are You Casting Yours?”
Father Maher was ordained a priest for the Legionaries of Christ Nov. 25, 1994, in Mexico City. He arrived to the Trenton Diocese in 2009 and served as an adjunct priest and then parochial vicar of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Whiting. He was incardinated a priest of the Diocese of Trenton by Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., in March 2012.
