Catholic Women of Zion Chapter 1 will hold a retreat day Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in St. William the Abbot Parish, 2740 Lakewood Allenwood Rd., Howell.

The day will begin with Mass celebrated at 9 in the church by Father Thomas Maher, pastor. Prayer, music, guest speaker, sharing and prayers for healing will follow. The speaker will be Gabriella Furmato, who graduated with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics and secondary education from Monmouth University, West Long Branch. Following graduation, she worked for the university as a campus minister. In 2012, she started working for Domestic Church Media, Catholic Radio, where she is co-hosting a radio program and is involved with parish outreach. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in theology in Seton Hall University, South Orange, and expects to graduate in the spring.

Furmato’s topic will be “Faith Journey Walking with the Blessed Mother in the Holy spirit.

Admission is $20 and includes lunch. Reservations are necessary by Sept. 29 and can be made by calling 732-363-0139, ext. 777. Leave phone number and proper spelling of name. To register online, visit www.cwoz.org.
