CORRECTION: Father Alindogan to celebrate World Mission Sunday Mass

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

The Diocese’s director of missions will celebrate a World Mission Sunday Mass at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 22 in in Corpus Christi Church, 11 South Sunset Road, Willingboro.

“On World Mission Sunday, we are once again called to be present in offering our prayers and financial support, through the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, for the worldwide mission of Christ,” Father Peter James R. Alindogan wrote in a letter for the World Mission News Annual Report. “Through our generous sharing, we are present in reaching out to the peripheries, people in remote villages, towns, and cities by using the witness and work of missionaries and local priests,” he said.

The celebrant of the diocesan World Mission Sunday Mass was incorrectly reported on page S4 in the Oct. 19 issue of The Monitor as Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M.

Bishop O’Connell will be celebrating the annual Anniversary Blessing Mass Oct. 22 in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton, at which time he will bless about 100 married couples from Burlington and Mercer Counties who are celebrating milestone wedding anniversaries in 2017.

The Monitor regrets the error.
