Climbing High!

Thomas G. Mladenetz, Mercer County CYO Executive Director watches Hamilton Township Mayor Kelly A. Yaede snip the ribbon May 13 on a new $35,000 playground jungle gym at the Bromley Center, Hamilton, as CYO staff and civic leaders look on. The new gym, which features two slides, ladders, climbing poles, a bridge and bongo drums in vibrant hues, was secured with a grant from Hamilton Township’s Community Development Block Grant Program. Also on hand for the occasion were Daughter of Charity Sister Joanne Dress, Executive Director for Catholic Social Services and CYO board member; Patrick M. Hardiman, Bromley Center Director, and Hamilton Township representatives. The Bromley Center serves about 60 children in the teen and tutoring programs during the school year and another 30 during the summer camp program. Joe Moore photo
