St. Mary of the Lakes Knights of Columbus Council, Medford, is hosting its 10th annual charity golf tournament June 12 at Medford Lakes Country Club, 70 Oak Drive, Medford. All proceeds will benefit the parish’s St. Vincent de Paul Society conference, the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Burlington County and 1st Way of Burlington County.

“The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the Interfaith Hospitality Network and 1st Way provide critical services like food, shelter, clothing, financial assistance and counseling to the needy in our area,” said George Finan III, council grand knight. “The Knights of Columbus invite men and women golfers and local business owners to ‘chip in for charity’ to support these vital organizations that treat every man, woman and child with respect, dignity and kindness.”

Golf registration is $150 and includes greens fee, golf cart, lunch and dinner. The tournament is a scramble format and begins with a shotgun start at noon. A cocktail hour follows the tournament with dinner being served at 6 p.m. A silent auction and opportunities to win will be featured. Dinner-only tickets are also available at $45 per person. Tax-deductible sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and individuals. Options range from several sponsorship levels to merchandise and gift certificate donations to individual boosters.

Over the past year, the St. Mary of the Lakes conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul has helped 14,329 men, women and children with food, clothing, rent, mortgage, utilities, auto insurance, health care and other expenses valued at more than $470,000.

The Interfaith Hospitality Network of Burlington County receives more than 300 unduplicated calls each year from families seeking shelter. IHNBC is a non-profit interfaith organization committed to a united outreach by the religious community in Burlington County providing shelter, meals and assistance to homeless families. The program provides help, hope and a safe haven for guests while they seek affordable housing.

1st Way of Burlington County helps any woman or girl with an unplanned pregnancy find medical, legal or psychological help as well as shelter, education, and adoption guidance. 1st Way provides free resources which support life affirming choices.
