Catholic Schools certainly showcased how they have it all during Catholic Schools Week last week in the Diocese of Trenton.

Dozens of schools around the Diocese chronicled their Masses with Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., open houses, special assemblies and more.

Here’s a sampling:

All Saints Regional Catholic School in Manahawkin wrote the following on Facebook Feb. 2: We celebrate our students’ achievements in many different ways. Today, for our Catholic Schools Week Open House, some of our students created their own showcases. They displayed and talked about their interests, special collections, and hobbies, and demonstrated their creativity. Some of the student showcases included: sewing, motorcycle restoration, cupcake baking, DigiBirds, mythological beasts, 4-H Puppy Club, science, comic book collection, musical theater, Lion King Collection, Lego Galaxy, and Lego Friends. Awesome job, students! Thank you for sharing with all of us! #CatholicSchoolsHaveItAll

Trenton Catholic Academy, Hamilton, was a prolific poster throughout the week. However, the school’s accounts were extra busy Feb. 4. Based on the following Facebook post, you can see why:  Such a busy day at TCA! The Upper School hosted a blood drive for the Community Blood Council of NJ, members of both the Upper and Lower schools visited the State House, the Lower School played, “Are You Smarter Than a TCA student?,” our basketball teams played our parents and teachers and Fr. Jean, Sr. Phyllis, Sr. Barbara and Sr. Dorothy were honored on Celebrate Vocations Day! Whew! Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram (trentoncatholicacademy) for minute-by-minute updates daily!

St. Peter School in Point Pleasant Beach live tweeted a Mass celebrated by Bishop O’Connell Feb. 5, as well as his visit to the school after Mass to spend time with students and bless the new gym floor. To end the day, after sharing dozens of videos, photo collages and more, the school account wrote: What a great way to end #CSW16 ! Blessed to have had our Bishop close it out!

St. Aloysius School in Jackson had an interesting end to its Catholic Schools Week, too. The Facebook account wrote Feb. 5: Despite the snow, no microphones, no organ and eventually no lights our CSW Liturgy was beautiful! The choir sang a cappella which just added to the beauty of the Mass. Thank you to our Social Justice Group for planning and leading us in prayer this morning. As Father Bambrick said, the snow was like confetti celebrating the end of a terrific Catholic Schools Week!
