Catholic Women of Zion retreat days scheduled

The Catholic Women of Zion Chapters I and II will hold the following retreats:
CWZ Chapter II will hold a mini-day retreat for women Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to noon in St. Pius X Church, 300 Lacey Rd., Forked River. The day will include prayer, music, speaker, sharing and lunch. Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m.
Speaker will be Emily Vidal, who received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and gerontology and a master of arts degree in counseling both from Georgian Court University, Lakewood. She is a licensed registered nurse, a national certified counselor and a licensed professional counselor in New Jersey. She is also a trainer in conflict management and resolution and interpersonal communication skills and evangelization workshops for clergy, religious and laity for the Diocese of Trenton for more than 30 years. Vidal will speak on “Messengers of Faith – Called to Touch Souls How do we do that?”
Cost is $20, payable the day of the luncheon. Registration is necessary by Nov. 4. To register, call 609-693-5107 or register online at www.cwoz.org.
CWOZ Chapter I will hold an outreach ministry day Nov. 15 in St. William the Abbot Church, 2740 Lakewood-Allenwood Rd., Howell, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Speaker will be Father Thomas Maher, pastor of St. William the Abbot. Father Maher was ordained a priest for the Legionaries of Christ Nov. 25, 1994, in Mexico City. He came to the Trenton Diocese in 2009 and served as an adjunct priest and then parochial vicar of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Whiting. He was incardinated a priest of the Diocese of Trenton by Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., in March, 2012. He will speak on “Martha and Mary: An Image of Women in Prayer – Part 2.”
