Catholic Women of Zion retreat day

Catholic Women of Zion Chapter I will hold a retreat day Oct.11 in Holy Family Church, 1139 East county Line Rd., Lakewood.
Participants will attend the 8:30 a.m. Mass in the church. The retreat will follow with guest speaker Julie A. Jahn.
The recently widowed mother of three and grandmother of seven will share her story of surviving a previous abusive marriage, and journeying with her son’s struggle with a drug addiction, which started at age 12, as well as several jail sentences.
Jahn worked as an executive administrator in the corporate and non-profit sector for more than 30 years and was a professional Christian clown for more than 20 years. She is the president of JAJ Nonprofit Resources in North Carolina.
Jahn is the author of two books and writer of trade specific booklets and magazine articles. She has been a producer and director of a children’s video and a single-parent talk show. She has lectured and facilitated seminars in the United States, England, Scotland and Canada.
Admission for the retreat is $20 and is payable at the door and includes lunch. Reservations are needed.
