A year-and-a-half of hard work has paid off for Catholic schools in the diocese.
According to JoAnn Tier, Moderator for the Office of Catholic Education and Superintendent of Catholic Schools, the Diocese of Trenton and its schools were informed that they have been officially accredited by AdvancED, an internationally-recognized accreditation agency.
The accreditation is a recognition of the high quality of Catholic education in central New Jersey. In a previous article explaining the importance of the process, Tier wrote that the study provides “a blueprint to serve as a guide in making informed decisions for student improvement so that each student may realize their full potential.”
“The accreditation will be proudly displayed in all schools as an indicator of competencies and achievement,” Tier wrote.
AdvancED accreditation provides the tools to nurture and support individual school improvement while aligning school improvement with diocesan improvement goals. AdvancEDhas accredited over 32,000 institutions in 71 countries and serves over 20 million students worldwide.
